End of 2008

Where did 2008 go?
Where has the time gone? It is hard to believe that it has been one year since Grandpa LaMar Williams passed away. He has been missed and will always be missed by those that were lucky enough to know him.
2008 held a lot of fun for our family and we were able to do a lot of things that brought us even closer together. In October, we had the chance to take Jill back to Hawaii for her birthday (the BIG one). It was almost 10 days of nonstop laughs and fun!
We stayed in Ko' Olina, which is about 45 minutes from Honolulu. It was perfect! The hotel was great. It had a private beach, sharks swimming around the lobby area, and it gave us the chance to enjoy the ride to the other places around the island.

Every car ride was a laugh-fest. We spent time traveling to the North Shore to surf (as much as a bunch of white boys from Utah can surf), visiting the PCC, enjoying shave ice at Matsamoto's, enjoying shave ice at Matsamoto's, enjoying shave ice at Matsamoto's, and the playing in the waves at Waimea. The young dudes were fun to watch as they jumped off the rock at Waimea beach. Trey even wowed the local by doing back flips off the top of the rock. By the way, the signs at the rock are warning signs. You know, (death, injury) the usual kind of things we ignore.
We loved the PCC and had a great expereince there thanks to Brother Isi! Everyone was a little leary about spending the whole day there, but it turned out that it was well worth it! From the Uke lessons to the center stage seats at the luau, it was all great fun.

Why am I the only normal one in this family?
Some time ago, there was a discussion at the dinner table about how strange each of the four children are. Of course there was a lot of laughter, finger pointing, and mockery, but ultimately it was concluded (by me) that I am the only normal one in this family.

We rented a boat and set sail in the Florida Keys for a while. Everyone was to chickent to jump in the ocean until Jill showed them how to do it!
